David Kahle is Senior Vice President for Agency Advancement of Lutheran Social Services. David has been with LSS since September 1992 and supervises the Development, Volunteer Services, and Community/Church Relations Departments of the agency. LSS serves more than 35,000 people annually in the states of Texas and Louisiana. Services provided concentrate on three areas of ministry: children's services, elderly residential services, and church/community services.
Prior to joining LSS, David served as development director for a national organization serving people with mental retardation. He also spent over seven years as a vice president in commercial banking. A graduate of Hardin-Simmons University with a degree in mass communications, David attended Texas Lutheran College for two years, where he was a member of the basketball squad. David recently served a two-year term as the national president of the Association of Lutheran Development Executives. He is currently a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Home Foundation Board of Directors.
He resides in Austin, Texas, and has two sons, Jason and Austin, and a daughter, Kearsten.
